Plastering, skimming and repairs
Work can include repairing damaged plaster, preparing sound surfaces, skimming walls and ceilings and finishing new plasterboard where appropriate. The aim is a consistent surface ready for decorating, with edges and corners checked as the work progresses.
Older coatings and textured ceilings are treated carefully. If the condition or safety of a surface is uncertain, it is checked before sanding, scraping or covering it.
